Porsche owners tend to notice paint more than most. A single chip on the nose of a 911 or a swirl across the roof of a Cayman stands out against the factory finish.

We protect Porsches at our Tacoma shop, from the 911 and Cayman to the Macan. Recent work includes an older model as well as current cars. The photos on this page are Porsches we have worked on.

Paint Protection Film for Porsches

Paint protection film (PPF) is a clear urethane layer applied over the paint. A stone that would have chipped the paint hits the film instead.

Where Porsches chip

Front bumper and the trunk lid. The 911 and Cayman carry their luggage space up front, so the trunk lid is the hood, and its leading edge takes the hits.
Headlights. Round 911 headlights sit right in the line of fire.
Rear fenders. The wide rear arches of a 911 catch grit from the front tyres.
Lower doors and rockers on the Macan, which sees more wet and gravel roads.

Packages

Partial Front, from $2,000. The highest impact areas at the front.

Full Front, from $2,500. The whole front trunk lid and front end, with no film line across it.

Track Package, from $3,000. Adds the rear arches, rockers and more. Popular on 911s that see track days.

Full Body, from $7,000. The whole car protected.

Ceramic Coating for Porsches

A ceramic coating adds a hard, glossy, water repelling layer. On Porsche colours, from black and white to bold greens, it adds depth and makes washing quicker.

It does not stop rock chips. Many owners film the front and coat the whole car, including over the film.

We use FeynLab coatings: Silver from $799, Gold from $1,199, Platinum from $1,599. FeynLab offers manufacturer warranties of 1 to 7 years depending on the product.

Paint Correction Before Protection

Swirl marks show through film and get sealed under a coating. On an older Porsche especially, the paint often needs correcting first. We look at it with you and tell you honestly what it needs.

Window Tint

Tint keeps the cabin cooler and protects leather from UV. It starts at $150 for the front two windows and $500 for sides and rear, with windshield, sun strip and sunroof add ons. We tint to Washington’s legal limits.

Is PPF worth it on a Porsche 911?

On a car you plan to keep, yes. The front trunk lid and headlights take most of the chips, and matching Porsche paint is costly.
