• Hand wash with a pH-neutral car shampoo and a clean mitt. Rinse well and dry with a soft microfibre towel.
• Skip brush car washes. Spinning brushes put swirls back into the paint, coating or not. A touchless wash is fine when you can’t hand wash.
• Get bird droppings, tree sap and bugs off quickly. A coating buys you time, but it is not a reason to leave them for a week.
• No wax needed. The coating does the job wax used to do. Adding wax on top just hides the coating’s own slickness.
