Corvette PPF, Ceramic Coating & Tint in Tacoma, WA

A Corvette sits low and wide, and its nose is the first thing every pebble on the road finds. On a C8 the front trunk lid and the bumper take the hits. On a C7, especially a Z06 with its splitter, the damage piles up along the front edge and ahead of the rear wheels.

Corvettes come through our Tacoma shop regularly, from C7 Stingrays and Z06s to mid-engine C8s. The photos on this page are cars we have worked on.

Paint Protection Film for Corvettes

Paint protection film (PPF) is a clear urethane layer applied over the paint. A stone that would have chipped the paint hits the film instead.

Where Corvettes chip

  • Front bumper and splitter. Ride height is low, so road debris hits it head on.
  • Front trunk lid on the C8, hood on the C7.
  • Side intakes on the C8. The scoops ahead of the rear wheels catch grit thrown by the front tyres.
  • Rear fenders. Wide hips on the Z06 and C8 sit right in the spray path.
  • Mirrors and headlights.

Packages

Partial Front, from $2,000. The highest impact areas at the front.

Full Front, from $2,500. The whole front end, with no film line across the front trunk lid or hood. Most Corvette owners who drive their car on the highway end up here.

Track Package, from $3,000. Adds the side intakes, rockers and rear fenders. Worth it if the car sees track days or long trips.

Full Body, from $7,000. The whole car protected.

Prices depend on the generation and how much of the car you want covered.

Ceramic Coating for Corvettes

A ceramic coating adds a hard, glossy, water repelling layer. Bright Corvette reds and oranges and dark metallic blues look deeper with it, and the car is far easier to wash.

It does not stop rock chips. Many owners put film on the front and coat the whole car, including over the film.

We use FeynLab coatings: Silver from $799, Gold from $1,199, Platinum from $1,599. FeynLab offers manufacturer warranties of 1 to 7 years depending on the product.

Wheels and exposed carbon trim can be coated too. Ask when you book.

Paint Correction Before Protection

Swirls from dealership washes are common on new Corvettes, and they show through clear film. We check the paint first and correct it where needed, so the film or coating seals in a clean finish.

Window Tint

A Corvette cabin is small and gets warm fast with the roof panel in. Tint starts at $150 for the front two windows and $500 for sides and rear, with windshield and sun strip add ons. We tint to Washington’s legal limits.
